As Women’s Marches were held globally on Saturday, January 20, 2018, reportedly over 50,000 demonstrators took to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. In support of the second Women’s March on Philadelphia, themed “We Persist, We Resist, We Rise”, participants marched from Aviator Park and concluded at Eakins Oval. Women of all ages, colors, social and economic classes rallied collectively against issues such as immigration, healthcare, racial divides, poverty and gun violence. Globally themed, “Look Back, March Forward”, marches took place in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, Canada, Japan, Italy and the UK.
