Chester, PA – For the past nine years, producer, song writer and hometown hero Jahlil Beats has brought more than hot music to the city of Chester. Each holiday season Jahlil Beats gives away hundreds of toys to the children of the impoverished community of Chester. Coming up in Chester himself, Jahlil knows firsthand the needs of the children and community. On December 20, 2019, Jahlil Beats in association with his music group Tandem, DTLR and Keystone First presented the 9th Annual Amari Tucker Charitable Organization Toy Drive. Serving a diverse crowd that truly represented the makeup of Chester, each and every one of the hundreds of young attendees received new toys to brighten their holiday season. In addition, a number of brand new bikes were raffled off to the well deserving youth.

When speaking to the attendees of the toy drive, there was an abundance of love for Jahlil Beats and all that he does for Chester. Kai, a Chester mom of three said “He’s always done this. He’s family.” Each of her children were happy and appreciative of the toys they received. When asked why he does so much for the city of Chester he merely responded, “My city supports me so much. They make me want to give back. They’re behind me 1,000%.”

Along with the toys that were provided that evening, Queen Cancer Diva also performed giving the crowd an amazing performance. The ten year old entertainer got her name and began performing as a tribute to numerous family members that are fighting a battle with cancer, and also those she lost to the fight. In addition to using her entertainment as a form of fighting, Queen Cancer Diva also donates proceeds to fighting the battle against cancer.

First, he teamed with DTLR in 2017 to bring the sneaker store to the city. Fast forward, the DTLR in Chester is the #1 store in the region. Next, to support healthy eating and living he brought Salad Works to Chester and not one but two health care clinics in association with Keystone 1st and PA Health and Wellness. Keystone 1st has been in the Chester community for more than 30 years, and partnered with Jahlil Beats to provide testing such as blood pressure and glucose during the toy drive. Highly skilled professionals also spoke to attendees about diet and education.

Next on the horizon is affordable housing and education. Beats just purchased 5 acres of land and will dedicate the space to the subsequent developments. “My expectation is to provide inspiration and opportunities by bringing businesses that will provide jobs to the residents of the City of Chester,” said Beats. Keep your eye on Jahlil Beats and the city of Chester, as they move in Tandem!
