Philadelphia – In continuation to empower, equip and encourage women to own their own voices, Women In Media (WIM GLOBAL) presented the 6th Annual Women In Media Conference, LIMITLESS: Beyond the Glass Ceiling! This year Angela Yee host on the nationally syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club, received the Arete of Media Honoree Award as well as presented the Keynote Address on the opening day of the conference.

For the first time ever, WIM Global presented a 2 Day Conference Experience featuring Kimberly S. Reed, Award Winning Speaker, Diversity and Inclusion Strategist as Mistress of Ceremonies. Even more, the conference boasted of fun, informative and resourceful events while incorporating an insightful fireside chat with Honoree Angela Yee, innovative workshops facilitated by media and wellness experts, an Industry Insider Panel Discussion featuring industry experts.

Presented annually since 2013, the 2018 Women In Media was LIMITLESS: Beyond the Glass Ceiling with an All-Star lineup of Women In Media such as Jen Groover, Serial Entrepreneur, TV Personality, & International Speaker, Nydia Han Consumer Reporter, ABC6, DeeJay Shelly, Celebrity DJ and Entertainer, Roxy Romeo. The crowd was an intergenerational audience consisting of students, young professionals all the way up to the most seasoned professionals. There were messages and food for thought for everyone. The theme around Angela’s message was hard work. As she spoke about her journey to become limitless, she continuously referenced diligence and work ethic. Jen Groover said “Your network is your net worth, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally and financially. So, you always want to be nourishing your relationships.” Nydia Han, spoke about persistence and steadying the course. All of the messages delivered if heeded will enable a woman to be LIMITLESS: Beyond the Glass Ceiling.

As attendees experienced the delightful experience of live performances by Suzann Christine, John Graves III, DJ A List and Keeyen Martin, they received information and made connections that could potentially change their lives. Women In Media paid it forward, and gave 100 high school and undergraduate students the opportunity to attend the conference complimentary. This opportunity exposed students to women already in the industry, provided a wealth of information and encouraged them to excel in the media field or enter it if they aspire to.
