Ever had the pleasure of dinner and live music at a diner? Uniquely presented, Soul and Pop Singer Alexi Songs brought the excitement of just that with The 25/8 East Coast Diner Tour. The East Coast Diner Tour jammed with live music from Alexi’s new hit album “25/8” as well as covers from artists such as the great Michael Jackson. Alexi’s performance gave diners a memorable experience as he crooned, scatted and straight sang. Along with Alexi was an amazing live band that brought the music to life with the percussion by SunnyDee Drumma, keys by Larry Lambert II and vocals by Jakeya Limitless and Hannah Lorimer.

Beginning in Boston, the 10 city East Coast Diner Tour schedule included New York City, Trenton and Collingswood, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, Wilmington, DE, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC Chapel Hill, NC and concluded in Atlanta, Ga.  As a diner tour is such an innovative venue, the idea was developed from the title of the album “25/8”. In what other arena can one come even close to 25 hours a day and eight days a week, other than a diner? Alexi stated “25/8 is about going a step beyond 24/7 for something or someone you love. It’s about working hard, being passionate, and going the extra mile.”

There’s even more sentiment to the story.  “The idea took on added significance for me when, in researching the history of diners. I discovered that the first diners in the United States were started by Greek Americans. Being the son of a proud Greek father myself, a man who always instilled in me the values of working hard, being kind, and sticking up for the little guy, it really seemed like the perfect fit,” Alexi stated.

It was sense of family and community that permitted for the East Coast Tour to be a reality. With the support of fans and community, Alexi raised more than $12,000 with a grassroots Kickstarter Campaign. With the monetary goal successfully attained, Alexi was all set to perform “25/8” at a diner near you.  For more information and to purchase “25/8,” go to https://www.alexisongs.com.
